Rising temperatures and ongoing heatwave conditions have prompted authorities in several regions, including Delhi-NCR, Patna, Dehradun and parts of Rajasthan, to revise school schedules in an effort to protect students from extreme weather exposure.
Many schools have either advanced morning start times, reduced classroom hours, or shifted to early closures as daytime temperatures continue to climb. Officials said the decision was taken to minimize children’s travel and outdoor activity during peak heat hours.

Weather agencies have forecast continued high temperatures in several northern and western states, with heatwave conditions likely to persist in some areas over the coming days. Local administrations are monitoring the situation and may announce further adjustments if conditions worsen.
