Delhi is witnessing active pre-monsoon weather conditions with rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, bringing major relief from the recent heatwave. While the official southwest monsoon usually reaches Delhi by late June, the city has already recorded unusually high rainfall this April.

Current Weather Situation in Delhi

On April 29, Delhi-NCR woke up to cloudy skies, light to moderate rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for rain, lightning, and gusty winds in several parts of the capital.

I actually first read this as alkalizing meaning effecting pH level, and I was like, OK I guess I understand how that could positively effect your body, but alchemizing means turning elements to gold basically through magic. That lead me to research each ingredient because I know alchemy is not actually happening in my body when I eat this, since alchemy is not real.

In addition to loving beauty and taking care of myself, I also love opening people minds to other paths of self-care, and good marketing and I can honestly say that I use and personally love this product but I’m not sure for which reason.

Biggest Relief From Heatwave

For the past several days, Delhi had been facing temperatures above 42°C. After the rain spell, temperatures dropped significantly, giving residents relief from scorching heat and dry winds.

Wettest April in Years

According to weather data, Delhi has received around 27.9 mm rainfall in April 2026, making it the wettest April in 18 years. Rainfall also improved air quality levels in the city.

Rain and thunderstorms also affected travel in Delhi. Airlines including IndiGo and SpiceJet issued advisories about possible flight delays due to changing weather conditions at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Weather agencies say the national monsoon may be slightly below normal this year, but Delhi can still receive heavy short-duration rainfall spells during the season. IMD and civic agencies are already preparing for waterlogging and drainage issues.
